Intermediate Political and Economic Orientation for Shop Stewards

This is a two module credit bearing programme that gives access and credits for the Labour Studies Diploma and the Political and Social Development Certificate offered by the workers college.

Learner should have a significant organisational experience and have engaged with political and economic issues.

The course covers Marxist economic and political philosophy elements as well as historical and contemporary political economy issues. The course provides a theoretical background for policy engagement and serves to orientate comrades within the economic and political thinking associated with the labour movement.

Dates: July-October 2017

Registration cost: R1 500

Fees payment 1: R1 390 per module due before the commencement of the module

Applications must be submitted by 1 June 2017
